Experienced Upholsterer
We are currently looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our skilled production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and has a strong eye for detail.
The successful candidate will be confident in carrying out all aspects of upholstery work, including deep buttoning, and will be experienced in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality upholstered furniture. You should be comfortable using both hand and power tools and be capable of handling the physical demands of a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Upholster and assemble furniture to customer and company specifications.
- Carry out deep buttoning and other detailed upholstery techniques.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with lifting, moving, and positioning furniture during production and installation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably within a manufacturing or furniture production environment.
- Strong upholstery skills with experience in deep buttoning.
- Ability to use a range of upholstery hand tools and power tools.
- Capable of lifting and handling materials and furniture as part of the role.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining equipment.
