Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Chef/Fryer (18+) to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, specialising in fried foods, in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook food items according to specified recipes and standards
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after service
- Assist in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Serve food to customers or assist serving staff as required
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Follow all food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, especially frying methods
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is advantageous
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends if required
