Vacancy for Night Care assistant and opportunity to work for a well established, award winning, ‘Good/Silver’ rated family run Residential Care Home est. 1985.

Staff meetings are held the first Thursday of every month 2pm - 4pm and are mandatory for all staff to attend. If you are unable to commit to this please do not apply as it is non-negotiable.
Radnor House is a leading care provider of specialist residential care for adults in recovery of mental illness. The available role is full time - 36hrs, including shift patterns comprising of nights and weekends i.e. 10:15pm - 7:30am and every other weekend shifts.
Duties will include (not an exhaustive list) - please note as it is a night shift the role comprises mainly of domestic duties.
Building and wellbeing checks - resident and building safety.
Kitchen assitance, domestic duties, prep
Attend to personal care needs - washing, dressing etc.
Consult diary daily and get residents ready for appointments
Complete electronic daily recordings
Support, administer & electronically record medication
Read and stay up to date on care plans, acquiring an excellent understanding of the residents and their needs.
Liaise with various professionals
Record Keeping - confident using IT and using electronic recording for care notes, reports and medication.
Maintaining a clean, homely environment in the home.
Domestic duties - mopping, sweeping, laundry, polishing, dusting
SKILLS NEEDED:
Experience in caring role and working with vulnerable people -
NVQ Level 2 Minimum or equivalent - ESSENTIAL
Maths and English - ESSENTIAL
Good IT skills - ESSENTIAL
DBS on Updated Online Service -DESIRABLE!!
Experience working with individuals with a mental illness - DESIRABLE
Candidate needs to be flexible, adaptable, have initiative and high energy to fulfil this multifaceted role in a fast paced environment.
Able to work well within a team and on an individual basis, respond efficiently and effectively to crises.
Caring, person-centred, compassionate, empathic, committed, excellent communication skills, patient and quick learner.
You must have rights to work in the UK. We are unable to employ anyone under sponsorship as this is a 36hr position nor do we currently offer sponsorship, our waiting list is full/closed and licenses allocated.
Interviews are conducted on site and will include a brief skills test followed by 2 person panel interview.
