Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Property Valuer / Lister to join our estate agency team in Accrington.
This is a key role within the business and would suit someone who is confident dealing with homeowners, has a strong understanding of the local property market and, most importantly, enjoys winning new instructions and building relationships with clients.
You will be responsible for attending market appraisal appointments, advising homeowners on the value and marketing of their property and converting valuation opportunities into new instructions.
Working from our Accrington office and covering the surrounding area, you will play an important part in growing our market share and developing new business.
The Role
As our Property Valuer / Lister, you will:
- Attend property valuation and market appraisal appointments
- Provide homeowners with accurate, well-researched advice on pricing and marketing strategy
- Convert valuation opportunities into new instructions
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing vendors
- Follow up valuations and maintain regular contact with potential clients
- Proactively generate new valuation and instruction opportunities
- Develop your knowledge of the Accrington and surrounding property market
- Monitor local listings, sales activity and competitor performance
- Advise clients on the best strategy to successfully market and sell their property
- Work closely with the wider sales team to ensure new instructions are launched effectively
- Maintain accurate records and client information within our CRM
- Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the valuation and instruction process
- Represent the company professionally within the local community
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, personable and motivated by results.
Previous estate agency experience would be highly advantageous, particularly in a valuation, listing, senior negotiator or branch management role.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous estate agency or property experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence attending appointments and presenting to homeowners
- The ability to negotiate and win business
- A good understanding of the local property market
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills
- A proactive approach to generating new business
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
