The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a project manager in a busy and growing company. You will join our fully integrated, full-service event agency (Premier Events) and be part of the Premier Woodshop team.
Established in 2009, the company has grown rapidly; we employ 50 people and have a turnover of £7.5m.
Our clients are global brands who look for us to provide them with exceptionally high-quality event scenery, display items and exhibition stands.
Reporting to our Technical Director, you will be designing and installing joinery work for multiple applications, including live events, exhibitions, retail and online sales.
The Woodshop is based at our Thurmaston head office and has just been completely refurbished to create a fantastic modern environment to work in.
The Role
The role will consist of:
- Quoting exhibition and joinery work
- Designing exhibition stands; activations and products to include producing 3D models and renders
- Drawing elements for production
- Technical quoting of joinery work from plans
- Set and custom fabrication design
- Labour and logistics planning
- Writing detailed proposals for clients
- Conducting meetings with clients and recommending solutions
- Conducting site visits
- Logistics planning
- Liaising with and booking external suppliers/subcontractors
- Producing detailed briefing packs for site teams
- Managing end-client web orders
- Working out-of-hours during weekends and evenings as required across the UK and Europe.
- Leading builds and breakdowns on sites, team management and driving of company vehicles (to include vans).
The Candidate
You will have built up experience in similar roles at other companies, either as a freelancer or in a full-time capacity.
You must have a comprehensive understanding of the exhibition industry. Experience working as part of a workshop team would be beneficial.
Superb client-facing skills and team management are essential.
You must be able to work well under pressure and solve problems on the fly. We are looking for a team player with a sharp attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
