Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various brickwork and repointing construction, and maintenance projects. Duties
- Assist with brickwork and repointing tasks such as grinding out, repointing, mixing, setting up, loading out, lifting material, collecting orders and keeping outdoor areas pristine and inviting
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery including excavators for digging, lifting, and site preparation activities.
- Perform routine site maintenance including debris removal, surface leveling, and general cleanup to maintain safety and aesthetics
- Support construction activities by assisting with material handling, site preparation, and equipment setup under supervision
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment like excavators and power tools to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards
Skills
- Practical experience in brickwork and repointing
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining machinery such as excavators and other power tools
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team
- Basic understanding of the building industry
- Previous construction experience is highly desirable for supporting diverse project needs but no essential, just willing to work hard and listen
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, attention to detail, and physical stamina to perform manual tasks effectively
