At Jaffray Care we are experienced at supporting people who may need a little extra help because of their complex health care needs, physical disability, sensory impairment, mental health needs or require palliative care.
We are currently looking for a temporary full time Senior Care Support Worker to cover maternity leave for a fixed 9 - 12 month period.
You will support Service Users within our two bungalows at Parkfields, Wolverhampton.
The role requires maximum flexibility. Shifts are days 7.30am - 8.00pm, 40 hours per week on a fixed rota basis including working alternative weekends.
The Senior Care Support Worker will be expected to work as part of a team providing high quality care to assist clients with everyday activities based upon their individual needs, overseeing the care staffing team.
Experience of working with behaviours that challenge is essential.
The Senior Care Support Worker is expected to have a passion for care , excellent communication and leadership skills and will work under the guidance of the Care Manager and Deputy Manager, who will provide ongoing support as required.
The Senior Care Support Worker will assist Service Users with personal care, emotional care and social needs paying attention to the individual’s care plans/guidelines; prepare snacks or meals as required for Service Users; assist Service Users with their toiletry needs throughout the day according to their care plans.
You will also be required to effectively liaise with outside professional bodies and have an excellent understanding of Safeguarding practices.
We require candidates have a minimum level 2 QCF qualification in Health & Social Care and willingness to work toward level 3.
