We’re looking for a confident, energetic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team at The Fox.
The Fox is a new country pub bringing together great food, proper drinks and a relaxed Cotswolds atmosphere — with a modern, elevated feel.
We are proud to be part of JM Socials, a growing local hospitality group behind a collection of elevated restaurants and bars in Cheltenham. The Fox is the group’s newest site, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to join an ambitious local business at an exciting stage of its growth.
THE ROLE
As our Front of House Supervisor, you’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of The Fox, working closely with the management team to ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience.
You’ll be confident leading a team during service, keeping standards high and making sure the floor runs smoothly from open to close.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the Front of House team during service
- Delivering warm, knowledgeable and professional guest service
- Helping to train, motivate and develop team members
- Ensuring excellent standards of food, drinks and service
- Managing sections and coordinating service during busy periods
- Dealing confidently with guest requests and resolving issues
- Supporting opening and closing procedures
- Ensuring the pub is clean, organised and presented to a high standard
- Working closely with the kitchen and management teams
- Helping maintain company procedures and licensing standards
- Taking responsibility when senior management are not on the floor
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a Supervisor, Senior Waiter or similar FOH role
- Is confident leading a team in a busy hospitality environment
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to think on their feet
- Has a genuine passion for food, drinks and hospitality
- Leads by example and enjoys getting stuck in
- Has high standards and takes pride in their work
- Is friendly, approachable and confident with guests
- Wants to progress and develop within a growing hospitality group
