Woodlands Care Home is a well-established nursing and residential care home dedicated to delivering outstanding, person-centred care in a warm, supportive and professional environment.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated NMC Registered Nurse to join our management team as Deputy Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate clinical leader who is passionate about quality care, team development and achieving excellent outcomes for residents.
Working closely alongside an experienced Home Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the home, helping to maintain high standards of care, regulatory compliance, clinical governance and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Home Manager in the operational management of the home.
- Provide strong clinical and professional leadership to nursing and care teams.
- Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect and person-centred care.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and clinical governance processes.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements and company policies.
- Lead and support audits, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with staff recruitment, supervision, training and performance management.
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Manage staffing levels and contribute to effective rota planning.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns.
- Assume responsibility for the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
Requirements:
- An NMC Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid PIN.
- Experienced in a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Deputy Manager role.
- Knowledgeable about CQC regulations and current best practice within adult social care.
- A confident leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
- Organised, proactive and able to lead by example.
- Committed to supporting and developing staff to achieve excellence in care delivery.
