About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Anodiser to join our finishing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out plating processes to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Anodising lines safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and maintain plating bath parameters, including temperature, pH, and solution levels.
- Load and unload work in accordance with process specifications.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Record production data, process checks, and quality documentation accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping of plating equipment and work areas.
- Assist with chemical additions and process control under supervision.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve process issues and improve efficiency.
Requirements Essential
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable.
- Experience in Anodising, or a related metal finishing process.
- Good understanding of surface preparation and plating principles.
- Knowledge of automotive, aerospace, defence, or engineering industry standards.
- Experience with process control testing and laboratory checks.
- Forklift licence or material handling experience.
- Understanding of ISO 9001.
- Chemical handling and COSHH awareness.
