Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to maintain and repair various types of equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Assemble and disassemble machinery as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks
- Weld components when necessary to enhance equipment functionality
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs
- Conduct heavy lifting as required during maintenance and repair tasks
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Experience in equipment repair, including familiarity with various machinery types
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for complex systems
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of regular duties
- Excellent customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication
- Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory
- VOSA MOT Certificate would be great although not essential
