Are you an experienced Insurance Account Handler looking to join a well-established and growing insurance brokerage where your knowledge and client service skills are genuinely valued?
We're recruiting on behalf of a respected independent broker who is looking to add an experienced Account Handler to their commercial insurance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of five years' insurance experience who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering first-class service.
The Role
Working within a friendly and professional team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing expert support throughout the policy lifecycle and ensuring clients receive an exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business enquiries
- Preparing and processing insurance documentation accurately
- Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms and obtain competitive quotations
- Providing professional advice on suitable insurance products and cover
- Responding promptly to client queries by phone and email
- Building long-term client relationships through outstanding customer service
- Maintaining accurate records in line with FCA and company compliance requirements
- Supporting colleagues across the wider team when required
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Insurance Account Handler or within a similar commercial insurance role
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident working with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Experience using insurance broking systems would be advantageous
