Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Evening Cleaner/General Assistant to ensure our centre runs safely and efficiently during evening bookings. You will play a vital role in welcoming visitors, managing room setups, running the coffee bar, maintaining cleanliness standards, and assisting with light maintenance/DIY projects across the site.
Key Duties:
- Visitor Welcome & Hospitality: Greeting community groups and serving refreshments in the coffee bar.
- Room Preparation: Setting up furniture and equipment for bookings and clearing away afterwards.
- Cleaning & Care: Ensuring rooms and facilities are hygienic, tidy, and ready for the next day.
- Light DIY & Maintenance: Handling minor repairs, painting, and routine safety checks (e.g., fire alarms).
- Building Security: Taking payments/issuing receipts, locking up, and setting alarms at shift end.
- Larder collections, including sorting and occasional collection tasks.
- Securing the building, ensuring all exits are locked and alarms are set.
Requirements:
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with people of all ages.
- Practical DIY/cleaning experience and physical capability for setup work.
- Excellent timekeeping, communication skills, and reliability.
