Green Cat Renewables (GCR) is a dynamic, innovative company that provides the complete range of technical services required to deliver renewable energy projects. The team of over 100 Engineers and Consultants deliver projects on behalf of Clients from four offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Livingston, and Biggar. GCR sits at the centre of an international group working closely alongside our sister consultancy businesses: Green Cat Renewables Canada, based in Calgary, Canada and Green Cat Renewables Europe, based in Amersfoort, Netherlands; as well as working alongside our UK based development companies Green Cat Hydrogen, Green Cat Renewable Developments and Green Cat Contracting.
A vacancy has arisen within the Asset Management team for a Junior Office Administrator to provide support to the Asset Management Team at the office in Biggar.
The Role
The role will primarily involve the following:
● General office administration including sorting, processing and filing of financial paperwork.
● Processing of sales and purchase invoices, receipts and payments.
● Assist with preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
● Assist with the preparation of quarterly management accounts.
● Assist with preparation of VAT returns.
● Assist with the processing of journals, prepayments and accruals.
● Assist with maintaining fixed asset registers.
● Ability to communicate with internal departments, customers and suppliers, to resolve day to day and ad-hoc issues as they arise.
● Willingness to develop Excel spreadsheet and data handling skills for various departmental processes.
● Be prepared to undertake wider support tasks for the department, as and when required.
The Candidate
This is a junior role so training will be given, however, the candidate would ideally have the following:
● Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
● Be proactive and self-motivated with workload.
● Have excellent communication skills.
● Be willing to learn and develop new skills to help grow the role within the team.
● Have experience with Microsoft Office applications
