We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef to join our busy smokehouse restaurant team. The ideal candidate will prepare and cook high-quality meats and menu items, maintain food safety and cleanliness standards, manage kitchen prep and inventory, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. Previous kitchen experience is required; smokehouse or barbecue experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard
- Operate and monitor smokers, grills, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Ensure consistent quality and timely service during busy periods
Requirements:
- Previous chef or line cook experience
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Smokehouse/barbecue experience is an advantage but not essential
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
