Main Duties:
-Assembly of automotive safety closure mechanisms
End of line testing (Subject to training/experience).
Use of basic test and diagnostic tools and equipment.
-Packing of finished goods and parts.
Other responsibilities include;
-Safety 1st – Maintain a safe workplace and ensure that safety policies & procedures are followed, and essential safety equipment & PPE is used correctly.
-5S & Safety – Maintain a clean, tidy & organised workplace always.
-Productivity – Support and engage with efficiency improvement activities
Any other duties as required by your manager, providing within the capabilities of the position holder.
Job Holder Requirements:
-Ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
High level of workplace organisation & housekeeping.
-Able to communicate in English and understand intermediate signs and written instructions in English.
-Ability to work safely and prepared to stop activity where risks are identified.
-Knowledge & understanding of basic machining & other mechanical processes.
-Basic numeracy & measurement skills.
-Good manual dexterity for small component handling.
-Physically capable for required manufacturing activities.
-Demonstrate initiative whilst working with limited supervision.
-Polite, courteous and respectful to your colleagues.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with tools
- Familiarity with assembly techniques and processes
Schedule:
· Day shift, Monday to Friday - 38 hours
·Hours, Monday to Thursday: 07.30 – 16.00. Friday 07.30 – 13.30
·Overtime: Subject to availability
