Dispatch Operative - Term Time Only
Contract Type: Part-Time, Term Time Only, Permanent
Hours: Sunday – Wednesday 2pm – 8pm | 24 hours per week. Inclusive of bank holiday Monday’s.

Role Overview
To manage the receiving, checking, packing, and dispatch of sealed food products for the kitchen operation, ensuring all items meet company quality standards and are accurately prepared for delivery to vans, hubs, and buffets. The role also supports delivery planning, van routing, and driver scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Quality Control
- Receive sealed food products from the kitchen and production areas.
- Check all products against delivery lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all products meet required quality, hygiene and food safety standards before dispatching.
- Report any discrepancies, damages or quality issues to the kitchen or management team immediately.
Packing & Labelling
- Organise and pack products for dispatch to vans, hubs, and buffet locations.
- Ensure all items are securely packed to prevent damage or temperature issues during transit.
- Clearly label all products with correct descriptions, destinations, quantities and delivery times.
- Ensure all orders are fully prepared and ready for morning collection by van drivers.
- Arrange and coordinate dispatch of products to all areas of the business, including:
- Deli Vans
- Hubs
- Buffets and event locations
- Ensure dispatch timelines are met to support on-time service delivery.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the dispatch area.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of food products prior to dispatch.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, or food production environments (preferred).
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good attention to detail, particularly with packing and labelling.
- Confident communication skills for working with drivers and operational teams.
Pay: £14.24-£14.61 per hour
