Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches and baked goods in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace to ensure a safe and inviting environment
- Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers, taking orders accurately and handling transactions using POS systems
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards and ensure customer safety
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality
- Support team members with various tasks as needed, including restocking supplies and maintaining equipment
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role within a food environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards to ensure hygienic preparation and handling of food products
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Reliable team player with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
