Vara Education is seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our bank staff team. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in educational settings and are looking for varied opportunities across different schools. As a Bank Staff Teaching Assistant, you will provide classroom support on a day-to-day, short-term, or longer-term cover basis, helping to ensure continuity of learning for pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
- Assist in maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide additional support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, and school activities as needed.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Confidence working across different age groups and educational settings.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous but not essential.
Pay: From £14.32 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ellesmere Port CH34: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
