The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is an integrated single point of access in South Tyneside providing multi-agency triage and assessment of safeguarding enquiries and requests for support relating to children and their families.
As a Social Worker in the MASH you will play a key role in the daily screening and response to referrals about children living in the South Tyneside area, alongside a well established team of multi-agency partners.
Our June 2026 Ofsted inspection found that services for children and families have improved significantly, supported by a ‘child-focused, stable, skilled and consistent workforce’ committed to restorative and relational practice.
In South Tyneside our children and families are at the forefront of everything we do. We want every child and family to feel supported in times of need and empowered to make the right decisions. We take pride in our social work teams, where staff are valued and supported and where we work together to drive this vision forward. If you hold the same values, believe you can make the difference and are looking to join a team who will deliver and support, then look no further.
