RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER
Job description
You have the opportunity to be part of a service that will make a difference to young peoples lives.
As a post holder you will be working in our semi-independent accommodation providing support to vulnerable young people (leaving care).
Essential - This role requires previous experience of working with Vulnerable people.
Essential - Be able to do a 24 hour shift which includes a sleep in.
Anyone applying for this role should have a degree of flexibility.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting young people to manage risk.
Devise support plans
Make sure the young people and service is safeguarded.
Access relevant support services to meet the diverse needs of the clients and develop skills to enable them to live independently.
Take lead to empower young people to improve their life skills through the delivery of Headway Housing team around the young person support model.
Co-ordinate and facilitate regular structured professional meetings and respond appropriately to changing or crisis situations.
You will need to have experience of working in a supported accommodation setting with vulnerable people and will be required to work as part of a rota which may include evenings and weekends.

Work Remotely
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred). Willingness to undertake further training
Experience:
- working with vulnerable people: 1 year (preferred)
- Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
- Childcare level 3 (preferred)
