Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, cooking, and food safety, combined with proven management and supervisory skills. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of service.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimise waste and control costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Develop and implement menus in collaboration with the culinary team, maintaining quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods.
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to excellence.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Previous management or supervising experience in a culinary environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, culinary techniques, and hospitality standards.
- Barista experience is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
