Front of House Team Member – Black Ivy Needs You!
Black Ivy is looking for experienced, confident and personality-driven Front of House Team Members to join our team in Bruntsfield.
We're a busy neighbourhood bar, restaurant and boutique hotel offering great food, cocktails, live sport, weekend DJs, live music, private events and a buzzing outdoor terrace.
As we continue our journey from good to great, we're looking for genuine hospitality people who thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to make guests feel welcome.
We don't want order takers – we want hosts, personalities and hospitality people.
The Role
You'll work across our busy bar and restaurant, taking ownership of the guest experience and delivering warm, confident and efficient service.
You'll be expected to:
- Look after your own section and guests
- Confidently recommend and sell food and drinks
- Deliver fast, friendly and knowledgeable service
- Maintain excellent standards throughout your shift
- Work closely with the bar, kitchen and management teams
- Bring energy, personality and positivity to every service
We're Looking For
- 18+ months' experience in a busy bar, restaurant or hospitality venue
- Confident, friendly and genuinely passionate about hospitality
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Great food and drink knowledge – or an eagerness to learn
- Reliable, organised and a strong team player
- Ambitious and keen to develop
- Available for full-time work across 5 days, including evenings and weekends
