Pool Bros Ltd is seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated Pool Engineer to join our team, specialising in regular maintenance contracts for swimming pools and hot tubs.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with a strong reputation in the domestic and commercial pool sector. The role is focused on keeping our clients’ pools and hot tubs running safely, cleanly and efficiently all year round through planned maintenance, seasonal opening and closing, water treatment, cleaning and minor repairs.

The Role
This is a hands-on, varied engineering role combining installation, maintenance, and support in both new builds and refurbishments. You will be servicing and maintaining pools and hot tubs primarily, you will also be fault finding and repairing existing pool systems. However, the role will be quite diverse and you will also be required to carry out some building works where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install pool pipework systems in new builds and refurbishment projects and full plant room installations
- Servicing of filtration, filter media, circulation, and heating systems, air handling units and other plant room equipment.
- Install automatic dosing and water treatment systems, including UV systems
- Set out and install first fix pool fittings during construction
- Prepare and install pool liners
- Hot tub diagnostics, testing and identifying issues.
- Regular maintenance of existing pools and hot tubs
- Attend design meetings and site surveys
- Size and specify pipework, ductwork, and plant equipment
- Create comprehensive parts list required for projects
- Provide technical support
- Keep accurate service records and communicate findings to the office/team
- Deliver excellent customer service during every visit
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Skills & Qualifications
- Good practical / hands-on engineering or maintenance skills
- Logical, detail-oriented and well organised
- Good understanding of water hygiene and chemical handling (training can be provided)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional in appearance
- Good IT skills for service reports / job management systems
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work in all seasons
- Willingness to learn and undertake further training/certifications
Experience
- Experience in pool, hot tub, plumbing, facilities maintenance or a related trade preferred
- Experience working in a customer-facing field service role advantageous
- Pool industry experience desirable but not essential for the right candidate
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently
- Flexibility for occasional weekend work during peak season if required
- You will be required to have a DBS check as we work at schools

- Competitive salary of £26,500 - £32,000 depending on experience
