SEN Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School with a KS1 ASD Provision

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term time only
£108.75 – £115 per day
We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced KS1 SEN provision for children with ASD within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hendon (NW4). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive school where staff wellbeing and pupil wellbeing are a genuine priority. The school has a highly supportive SLT and a collaborative team environment.
The provision supports up to 8 children with ASD. Some children also have associated SLCN needs or are pre-verbal. The setting is exceptionally well resourced and includes:
- A large main classroom
- An attached sensory room
- Dedicated toilets for the provision
- A conservatory area with sandpits and sensory resources
- A private playground area
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous SEN experience, either professionally or personally
- Be patient, nurturing, and proactive
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with ASD
- Work well as part of a team
- Strong behavior management skills
