Nursery Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
Contract: Permanent, term-time only, 39 weeks per year
Kids Corner Nursery is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly organised Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team at our established nursery in Evington, Leicester.
We are proud to be an Ofsted Outstanding nursery (September 2025), and we are seeking a strong leader who is passionate about maintaining and further developing the highest standards of care and education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident early years professional who is committed to providing outstanding outcomes for children and is ready to take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a busy, high-performing nursery.
The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will:
- Lead and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care.
- Ensure the nursery meets all EYFS, Ofsted, safeguarding and statutory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and staff practice.
- Oversee safeguarding procedures and promote a strong safeguarding culture.
- Manage staff performance, supervision, training and professional development.
- Support staff with planning, observations and assessments.
- Maintain accurate records, policies, risk assessments and compliance documents.
- Oversee invoicing, nursery finance systems, and fee administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and records.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, staff and external agencies.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas and the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Support occupancy, admissions and the continued development of the setting.
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- Have previous leadership or management experience within an early years setting.
- Have a strong working knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
- Have excellent safeguarding knowledge.
- Be confident leading, motivating and developing a staff team.
- Have strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Be professional, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Have a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children.
- Be able to demonstrate high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Early Years Teacher, DSL or SENDCo would be advantageous.
