Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and deliver programs and activities to meet the resident’s functional needs and reflects interest of each resident. The main aim is to improve the intellectual, physical and overall health and wellbeing of the residents and liaises with their families and representatives.
Responsibilities
This role involves the following duties:
Program Planning: Create engaging, varied weekly activity calenders
Person Centered Care: Consult with residents, their families and care teams to assess individual interests, physical capabilities and life histories. Tailor activities to suit those living with Dementia or complex care needs.
One to One session: Provide meaningful interaction and support for bedbound residents or those who prefer staying in their own rooms.
Event Coordination: Liaise with external entertainers, musicians, local community group / volunteers to organise special events and outing.
Administration: Document and update residents activity care plans, conduct risk assessments for events and manage a set activity budget.
Essential Skills and Requirements
Compassion and Creative: High levels of enthusiasm, patience and the ability to think outside the box to keep residents stimulated.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with residents, families and multidisciplinary care home staff.
Organizational Ability: Ability to manage priorities, oversee inventory for events and maintain accurate records.
Pay: £12.82-£14.00 per hour
