Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Theatre / Live Events Crew member and be at the heart of unforgettable entertainment experiences! In this hands on role you will assist the area technical manager and venue stage manager with delivering high class theatre shows, live music, comedians and corporate events. You will work varying shifts between "The Granville Theatre' and "The Margate WinterGardens". Key jobs roles include -
- Assist house and touring crew with load ins and load outs.
- Take pride in providing the best customer service to all visiting technicians and artists.
- Assist the venue crew in cleaning the stage, backstage and crew rooms between shows.
- Assist the venue crew in light maintenance work around the building. This would include painting, sanding, light woodwork when needed as-well as preventative maintenance.
- Assist in the testing and maintenance of all sound and lighting equipment.
- Set up show equipment such as sound, lights, Scenery elements, cloths and band equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in theatre or live events is advantageous but not required; a proactive attitude is key
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Ability to stay calm under pressure during busy or unexpected situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Enthusiasm for live entertainment and a positive attitude that energizes the team
- Willingness to learn from some of the best touring engineers in the country
