Purpose of the Role
The Reception & Business Administrator will provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, customers, employees and external partners.
The role will focus on front-of-house reception, ensuring the reception area is welcoming, tidy and well organised, alongside providing administrative support to the People Services Team and wider business.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Front of House

Act as the first point of contact for visitors, customers, contractors and external partners.

Manage the reception desk, telephone calls and general enquiries.

Manage incoming and outgoing post, parcels and deliveries.

Maintain a high standard of presentation across the reception area and front of the building.

Manage visitor sign-in and access requirements.

Arrange meeting rooms, refreshments and visitor hospitality.
Business & People Services Administration

Provide general administrative support to People Services and the wider business.

Arrange business travel, accommodation and other bookings.

Manage bookings and administration relating to company cars.

Support meetings, events and internal communications.
-
Prepare documents, spreadsheets and other administrative information.

Provide support with ad-hoc projects and business requirements.
Recruitment Support

Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process, including interview scheduling.

Prepare interview rooms and ensure candidates receive a professional welcome.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service or business support.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
-
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Positive, proactive and flexible approach.
-
Confident dealing with people at all levels.
-
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable

Experience arranging travel, accommodation or hospitality.

Experience within a manufacturing or business environment.
