Are you passionate about safeguarding children? The Integrated Safeguarding Children team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner support nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support staff across both Trusts providing safeguarding advice and guidance working in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
Plan and provide supervision, support, training and advice and act as a source of specialist knowledge for CPFT and RCHT in matters relating to safeguarding children.
This post has been developed to support the Integrated RCHT/CFT Safeguarding Team and Named Nurse for Safeguarding to support all activities necessary to ensure that the children’s service and wider organisation meets its responsibilities to safeguard and protect babies, children and young people.
Act as a source of expertise to patients and staff, in terms of support, supervision, information, signposting and advice. Promoting a high level of judgment, discretion and decision making in an acute Trust environment, including the community setting.
To support and facilitate in the delivery of safeguarding supervision sessions.
Develop partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations to aid communication and provide better outcomes for children and families.
Ensure robust communication takes place minimising risks to the children, families, and the organisation.
Undertake audits to monitor the robust and quality decision making in safeguarding children.
