# Experienced Dog Groomer – Full Time

## Role Overview
Minibae is looking for an experienced and skilled Dog Groomer to join our growing team in London.
This role is suitable for a confident groomer who can work independently, maintain high technical standards and manage a daily schedule of typically 4–6 dogs. The number of appointments will depend on each dog’s breed, size, coat condition, behaviour and required service. Quality, safety and animal welfare will always take priority over volume.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands breed standards and can provide both pets and their owners with a professional, premium experience.
## Key Responsibilities
- Provide full grooming services, including bathing, drying, de-shedding, clipping, scissoring and hand finishing.
- Groom according to breed standards or individual client styling requests.
- Work independently and manage a daily appointment schedule efficiently.
- Ensure the safety, comfort and welfare of every dog throughout the grooming process.
- Observe and report any visible skin, coat or general health concerns noticed during grooming, without providing veterinary diagnosis.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding coat condition, styling expectations and recommended maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic grooming environment.
- Assist with appointment flow to ensure efficiency and punctuality.
- Contribute positively to a calm, respectful and professional salon atmosphere.
- Support junior team members and share grooming knowledge where appropriate.
Bathing and drying support may be available during busy periods.
## Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ professional dog grooming experience in a salon environment.
- Proven ability to independently complete around 4 or more dogs per day while maintaining quality and animal welfare.
- Strong scissoring, styling and finishing skills.
- Good understanding of different coat types and breed standards.
- Confident handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to handle larger breeds safely, using appropriate equipment and team support where required.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Professional customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
## Desirable
- City & Guilds, iPET or equivalent professional grooming qualification.
- Previous veterinary, animal care or pet retail experience.
- Experience working in a premium or busy grooming salon.
- Experience supporting or training junior groomers.
## Performance Bonus
A monthly performance bonus of up to **£400** is available. Performance will be assessed using a balanced combination of:
- Salon revenue and productivity.
- Quality of work.
- Low complaint and rework rates.
- Client rebooking and retention.
- Customer service.
- Teamwork, knowledge sharing and contribution to staff development.
The bonus is not based solely on the number of dogs completed.
