Duties

- Manage food safety standards, including hygiene practices and allergen controls
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Monitor kitchen operations to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
- Train and mentor junior staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and service standards
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specified recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Demonstrable culinary experience across various cuisines and techniques
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience in serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential
