Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Porter/Mate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will assist with the safe and efficient movement of goods and ensure timely delivery of materials to various customers. Some customer orders can be heavy so requires 2 man so must be physically fit. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help keep our operations running smoothly, providing excellent service and maintaining high safety standards throughout every shift.
Our delivery runs can be anywhere in the UK and are generally 12 hours -working days are Flexible- you advise us what days you are available Monday to Sunday.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments using appropriate materials handling techniques and equipment
- Support delivery drivers in navigating routes, securing loads, and pre-calls to customers on route ensuring timely deliveries
- We also assemble some customers goods onsite so someone with an interest in DIY and a good eye for detail
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and report any issues promptly to management
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork
