Responsibilities
- Install new electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures according to project specifications and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools, diagnosing faults accurately and efficiently
- Repair or replace damaged wiring, circuit breakers, motors, or other electrical components as needed
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to create a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within scope
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics clearly
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces
