Gresham Office Furniture is seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join its Bespoke Joinery Department in Horwich, Bolton on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a joinery professional with strong workshop experience to develop within a high-quality bespoke manufacturing environment.

Gresham is a leading British designer and manufacturer of workplace furniture. Established in 1976, the company’s headquarters, northern showroom and production facility are based in Bolton, with its London showroom located in the heart of Clerkenwell.
The Role:
· Manufacture high-quality bespoke furniture and joinery products, including reception desks, boardroom tables, specialist joinery and booth seating.
You will work with a range of materials and finishes, including laminate, veneer, solid surface and solid timber.
On a day-to-day basis, you will work from technical drawings to manufacture bespoke furniture to a high standard. The role is primarily workshop based, with occasional site work for templating and installation. You will support the smooth delivery of projects from manufacture through to completion.
· Read and interpret technical drawings with guidance where required.
· Operate woodworking machinery safely and confidently following in-house training.
· Use joinery tools and machinery competently to achieve accurate, high-quality results.
· Work efficiently through the manufacturing process under appropriate supervision.
· Suggest practical technical improvements to manufacturing methods where appropriate.
· Maintain high standards of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.
· Work effectively as part of a team to meet agreed timescales and project deadlines.
· Adapt positively to new techniques, processes and materials.
What We’re Looking For:
· A minimum of three years’ joinery experience, ideally within a workshop or bespoke manufacturing environment.
· An NVQ, City & Guilds qualification or another relevant joinery qualification.
· A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
· The confidence to ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop.
There is a huge potential to expand your skills and knowledge by learning new fabrication techniques and materials etc. There is opportunity for you to develop through our grading system based on your skills and experience (Grades D-A)

Pay: £14.20-£19.15 per hour
