Job Role
We are a successful company that specialises in the installation of cabling, mostly internal works, who supply CCTV, data cabling services to a variety of different customers in hospitality, schools, small/medium enterprise offices, warehouses, retail.
Due to organic growth, we are now looking for a Junior Data Cabling Engineer as a permanent role in a various locations: around the UK the ideal candidate will need to be based in and around the Bedfordshire area.
Responsibilities
· Carry out a variety of cabling related installations within a mixture of environments, including but not limited to, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, telephony and fibre optics and coax.
· Work to tight deadlines and ensure tasks are completed to meet both the companies and the clients’ expectations.
· Work in accordance with health and safety policies and statutory Health and Safety Legislation.
· Assume lead role if required on multi personnel installations.
· Preparation and understanding of site-specific Risk Assessment's, on occasion as required.
· Completion of all projects related engineer's documentation, on occasion as required.
· Be point of contact and liaison with customer during installation, when assuming a lead role.
Required Skills & Essential Requirements
· 1 years experience working out on the field and site
· Demonstrated expertise and understanding of cabling installations to a certain technical degree.
· Reliability and strong communication skills to build relationships internally and externally with clients.
· Willingness to go the extra mile to support colleagues and customers.
· Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel are essential for this role.
· Full and valid UK driving license.
· A good cabling background.
· Network/Coax installation, cable pulling & termination.
· Familiar with the installation and termination of all types of copper cables
· Good understanding of health and safety practice, preferably supported with an CSCS or ECS card.
· Previous experience operating as a Cabling Engineer (preferred)
· Able to work in a team or alone.
· An energetic work ethic, focussed on a positive and timely outcome.
· Able to work in England without requiring sponsorship or the processing of a work visa.
