Full-Time Brunch Chef
Location: Kirkintilloch
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 7:00am and 5:00pm across 4/5 days
Pay: £13-£14 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Brunch Chef to join our café team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of fresh, high-quality brunch dishes while helping to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen service.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, enjoy working in a busy café environment, and take pride in producing consistently delicious and well-presented dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of brunch and café dishes to a high standard.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently.
- Prepare ingredients and complete kitchen prep before service.
- Work efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch periods.
- Ensure dishes are cooked and served promptly.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, organised, and hygienic.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or requirements.
- Minimise food waste through good preparation and portion control.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth service.
- Assist with menu preparation, specials, and other kitchen duties when required.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a café, restaurant, or professional kitchen.
- Have a genuine passion for cooking and good-quality food.
- Be confident working during busy service periods.
- Be organised, reliable, and punctual.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the team.
- Have a good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
