Metals Processing Operative - Permanent Role
£15 - £16 per hour + early Friday finish + fully paid Xmas shutdown

We’re looking for a Metals Processing Operative to join a well established, friendly metals business where no two days look the same. You’ll be working across saw operation, goods-in, forklift work and occasional delivery driving perfect for someone who enjoys variety and staying busy.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating bar saws and plate saws with accuracy and care
- Handling Goods In, receiving materials and checking deliveries
- Using the forklift truck to move stock safely around the warehouse
- Supporting with van deliveries when needed
- Keeping the workspace organised, safe and running smoothly
- Working closely with a small, supportive team who genuinely get on
What we’re looking for
- Experience in the metals industry
- Confident operating bar saws / plate saws
- Goods-In or warehouse receiving experience
- Forklift truck experience (licence preferred but not essential)
- Someone happy to jump in and help wherever needed including driving the delivery van occasionally
- A reliable, steady worker who enjoys a practical, physical role
Hours & Benefits
- 8:30am – 5pm, Monday to Thursday 4pm on Friday
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays
- Approx 1 week paid at Christmas, depending on how the dates fall
- £15 - £16 per hour, depending on experience
