Role Overview
Seeking an experienced HGV/Heavy Vehicle Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair road sweepers, 32-ton rigid vehicles with lorry loaders. Work includes nationwide travel from our base in Birmingham, performing repairs and servicing to ensure safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy vehicles/equipment
- Diagnostics and fault-finding using electronic systems
- Work on 32-ton rigid vehicles and road sweepers
- On-site repairs and servicing across the UK
- Uphold high safety and professional standards
- Conduct DVSA-standard safety inspections
Essential Requirements
- In date IRTEC registered technician
- HGV Class C licence (minimum)
- Level 2 & 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualifications
- Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools
- Abrasive wheel qualification
- Own tools
- Reside within 30 miles of B23 6DY
- Flexible & willing to travel nationwide
Desirable Experience
- GEL tester experience
- Knowledge of road sweepers
- City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Welding and Fabrication, or an NVQ Diploma
- Experience with FASSI lorry loaders
- Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools
- Level 4 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualifications

Pay: £70,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
