We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Peri Chef to join our client in Glenrothes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, ensuring that all dietary needs and preferences are met. The Peri Care Home Chef will play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience and overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
· Ensure all meals are prepared and presented to a high standard.
· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Manage food inventory and place orders as needed.
· Collaborate with care staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
· Engage with residents to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to meal plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
· Strong knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements.
· Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
· Ability to manage a kitchen team and work effectively under pressure.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Compassionate and patient with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly residents.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
