CHEFS WANTED – VUDU
We’re growing our kitchen team at VUDU and currently have two positions available, with the option to combine hours for the right person.
Part-Time Sushi Chef - 3 evenings per week
Thursday, Friday & Saturday approx 4:00pm – 10:30pm
We’re also looking for an experienced Sushi Chef to join our evening team.
You’ll be working across our Japanese-fusion menu, preparing fresh sushi and helping us deliver consistently high-quality food during busy evening services.
For a Sushi Chef looking for additional hours, there is also the opportunity to work Saturday and Sunday brunch services, combining elements of both vacancies into a larger weekly role.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous sushi experience
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Confident working with fresh fish and seafood
- Good organisation and cleanliness
- Able to work efficiently during busy services
- Reliable and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
- Brunch experience is beneficial for anyone interested in additional weekend hours
Chef de Partie – Brunch & Evening Services
Minimum 25 hours per week
We’re looking for a confident and reliable Chef de Partie to join our busy, family-run kitchen.
Brunch experience is essential, and applicants must be available to work a combination of brunch and evening services across the week.
You’ll need to be comfortable working at pace while maintaining consistency, presentation and high standards throughout busy services.
Experience with Asian cuisine is preferred but not essential. We’re more interested in finding someone with strong kitchen fundamentals, the right attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop within our team.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong brunch / breakfast cooking experience
- Availability for a combination of brunch and evening shifts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Good organisation and time management
- Consistent standards and attention to detail
- Clean, reliable and team focused
- Asian cooking experience is a bonus, but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to develop
