Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will assist with medication dispensing, patient interactions, and administrative tasks within a busy pharmacy environment. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and label prescriptions in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Manage stock levels, including ordering and inventory control
- Provide excellent customer service by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Support medication administration processes under supervision where applicable
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
Skills
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
