We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Housing & Wellbeing Officer to join our Leicester team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with people, providing practical support, and helping residents overcome barriers to maintaining their tenancy.
About the Role
As a Housing & Wellbeing Officer, you will provide day-to-day support to residents living within our accommodation services. You will help individuals manage tenancy responsibilities, access relevant services, develop independence, and maintain a safe and positive living environment.
You will work closely with residents, internal teams, and external agencies to provide effective housing-related support while ensuring accurate records, compliance requirements, and safeguarding procedures are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop trusting and professional relationships with residents.
- Provide practical housing support based on individual needs and agreed support plans.
- Assist residents with tenancy matters, budgeting, appointments, and accessing community services.
- Encourage residents to develop confidence and independent living skills.
- Support residents in understanding their responsibilities as tenants.
- Complete regular welfare and property visits.
- Identify and report repairs, maintenance concerns, and health and safety issues.
- Carry out routine property checks in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate case notes, records, and support documentation.
- Work collaboratively with councils, support agencies, and other professionals.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and positive environment for residents.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and service reviews.
- Follow company policies relating to GDPR, safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct.

Desirable
- Previous experience in housing support, tenancy sustainment, supported accommodation, social care, customer service, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and housing-related support.
- Experience supporting individuals with different needs and backgrounds.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Ability to work on-site in Leicester.

Preferred Experience
- Housing support, tenancy support, social care, customer service, or community support experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience desirable
Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
