This role is the Combined Arms Virtual Simulation (CAVS) Project Manager (PM), who is responsible for supporting the Omnia Transition Project Manager with the successful transition of CAVS to the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS).
Once elements are transitioned, working with the CAVS Site Lead, the CAVS PM is responsible for liaising with the Training Delivery and Training Support Service Leads to ensure that the CAVS training events are successfully delivered. As the CAVS PM, you will ensure that REUK resources are in place to enable the delivery of Virtual and Constructive training.
You will support Raytheon UK in managing other parties involved in the delivery of CAVS. The role will support the continuous improvement of collective training capabilities to support measurable, scalable, and data-driven training environments. You will support the CAVS Site Lead by ensuring the support required from the Training Delivery and Training Support services is provided.
You will work with the REUK CTTP Programme Management Office to ensure full recording and reporting of project data to report into the business on project progress and performance.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As the CAVS Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving and ensuring CAVS training delivery.
The responsibilities and tasks to achieve this will be multifaceted, with key responsibilities including:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Work with the Governance Service to produce the CAVS Transition Integrated Master Schedule for the REUK assigned activity, identifying dependencies on other workstreams.
- Ensure the delivery of the REUK scope of CAVS Transition.
- Work with the Booking and Scheduling Services to understand training demand.
- Work with the Training Delivery and Training Support services to develop resource plans to meet the Training Demand, feeding any issues into the Booking and Scheduling Services:
- Manage third-party CAVS responsibilities, escalating to Raytheon UK where required. Stakeholder Management:
- Engage and collaborate with internal and external Omnia Training and REUK stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication channels to provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies. Budget and Resource Management:
- Work with the REUK PMO to monitor and manage budgets.
- Work with the Training Delivery and Training Support Services to allocate and manage resources effectively to optimise outcomes.
Technical Oversight:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand the technical aspects of electronic hardware and software solutions.
- Capture user feedback on Rheinmetall’s Constructive Simulation product and share with the Development team for future improvements.
Change Management:
- Support the PMO in responding to CAVS Change Requests or Task Orders.
