Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Preparation Operative to join our clients dynamic food production team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and products to ensure smooth and efficient food manufacturing processes. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of food safety, adhering to HACCP protocols, and supporting the overall quality of our food production. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components according to specified recipes and production plans
- Ensure all food safety standards are strictly followed, including HACCP guidelines
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished products to maintain high standards
- Operate basic mechanical equipment used in the preparation process, troubleshooting minor issues as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management by accurately measuring, recording, and storing ingredients
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential efficiencies or hazards in the preparation process
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and recording data effectively
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment used in food preparation is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
