Berkeley Scott are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to join a school catering team in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced catering professional looking for an immediate start.

What you will be doing
As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the school kitchen and ensuring a high standard of food and service.
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and serving high-quality meals

Managing the day-to-day kitchen operation

Leading and supporting kitchen staff
-
Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards

Managing stock and food orders
-
Ensuring meals are prepared to the required standards

Creating a positive and professional environment for pupils and staff
Requirements
-
Previous experience working as a Chef Manager or in a similar senior catering role

Experience within a school or education setting is desirable

Enhanced DBS required
-
2 references required
-
Food Safety Level 2 certificate required (or willingness to obtain)

Food Allergen certificate required (or willingness to obtain)

Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety

Good organisational and communication skills

Ability to lead a team and work effectively under pressure
