We are looking for a friendly and organised individual with previous animal care experience preferred. An exciting new role has opened up at our practice.
Our veterinary clinic is a busy and fast-paced environment, and our animal care assistant is an essential part of our team. Responsibilities may include feeding and exercising animals, maintaining cleanliness in the clinic, assisting with examinations and treatments, and providing comfort to both pets and their owners. They may also be involved in record-keeping and preparing animals for surgery or other procedures.You may be required to greet clients and their pets, answer phone calls, schedule appointments and manage the clinics administrative tasks. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, and the animal care assistant will be expected to work a flexible schedule. We are located at 28 Hamilton Road, Bothwell, G71 8NA. A drivers license is not required, but preferred.
Skills and experience required:
An interest, understanding and enthusiasm for animal care and welfare.
To be practical and prepared to deal with dirt and waste.
- Customer service experience.
- The ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
- A passion for animals and commitment to their well-being.
- Demonstrate abilities to multi-task.
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- IT literate, experience using MS Office packages including teams, word, outlook, etc.
- Previous animal related experience.
- Strong organisational skills including managing a busy schedule.
