Job Purpose
Reporting primarily to the Stores Team Manager—who oversees daily tasks and priorities—you will handle key warehouse, stock, and inventory operations while supporting our production process. This is a hands-on, varied role that extends beyond standard stores duties, requiring material handling expertise, driving capabilities, and a willingness to assist with light assembly and packing when production needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
· Goods In & Goods Out: Receive, inspect, book in, and organise incoming deliveries. Carefully pack and dispatch outgoing goods.
· Kitting for Production: Accurately pick and kit components: metal parts, glass panels, and hardware for our production teams.
· Stock Control: Carry out regular stock consolidation and support the monthly stock counting process to maintain accurate inventory levels.
· Remote Storage Operations: Safely travel to and handle stock at local remote storage locations near Feltham when directed.
· Production Floor Assistance: Step in to assist the production side with light assembly, packing, and general workshop tasks during busy periods.
· Vehicle & Machinery Operation: Drive company vehicles to transport stock and safely operate warehouse forklifts.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Forklift Certification: Valid, active licences for both Counterbalance and Reach Truck.
- Driving Licence: Clean driver's licence with proven experience driving commercial vehicles up to Luton truck size.
- IT Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems for booking in stock and maintaining inventory records.
- Physical Fitness: High level of physical fitness required, as the role involves heavy manual handling, including moving metal components and glass panes.
- Flexibility & Work Ethic: A dependable attitude with the flexibility to work weekday overtime or occasional weekends when business demand calls for it.
