At Hambridge Transport Ltd, we're committed to delivering reliable, efficient transport solutions across the UK. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our busy operations team.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in keeping our pallet network running smoothly throughout the afternoon and assisting general haulage into the evening. Eensuring drivers, customers and depots stay connected and operations run efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and optimising end of day deliveries and collection routes ensuring all jobs are complete.
- Maintaining accurate records within our transport management systems.
- Liaising with drivers, customers and depots to ensure deliveries are completed on time.
- Resolving day-to-day operational issues quickly and efficiently. Answering emails & phonecalls.
- Updating transport documentation, including scanning and requesting PODs and producing delivery paperwork.
- Supporting the general haulage operations by answering calls/emails, posting jobs to H/X, processing paperwork and assisting with end-of-day close-down procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a more efficient operation.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in transport administration is essential.
- Experience working with pallet networks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the CV postcode area would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport/logistics software.
- Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
