The Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service, a safe and secure environment, and the smooth running of all bar and nightclub activities. The role includes both daytime and late-night shifts, overseeing staff, maintaining compliance with licensing regulations, and delivering a high-quality entertainment experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar and nightclub during both daytime and evening trading hours.
· Open and close the venue in line with company procedures.
· Monitor and maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality.
· Deal professionally with customer enquiries, complaints, and incidents.
· Staff Management
· Assist with training and development of team members.
· Monitor staff performance and promote a positive working environment.
· Ensure all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
· Licensing, Compliance & Safety
· Manage cash handling procedures, including floats, tills, and cash reconciliation.
· Oversee student nights, themed events, private functions, and promotional activities.
Skills & Experience Required
· Previous supervisory or management experience within a bar, pub, nightclub, or hospitality environment.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
· Cash handling and stock control experience.
· Flexible approach to working hours.
Desirable:
· Personal Licence Holder qualification.
· First Aid qualification.
· Experience managing student events or late-night entertainment venues.
Pay: £13.06 per hour
